I love a literal album sleeve. Long Tall Shorty don’t disappoint with ‘A Bird In The Hand’ (as you can see, the sleeve depicts a bird …in a hand). Long Tall Shorty formed in the late ’70s but this album dates from 2002 and is seen as a lost mod masterpiece. The band are led by Tony Perfect (also Angelic Upstarts) and make a mix of garage rock and mod revivalism.
