Product Info
Combined re-release of the two cult talents of the two exceptional musicians David Sylvian (Japan) and Holger Czukay (Can) from the late 1980s – digitally remastered! The two ambient/krautrock/avant-garde masterpieces ” Plight & Premonition” (1988) and ” Flux & Mutability” (1989) were created at the Can-Studio near Cologne at the end of the 1980s. Both albums consist of two long tracks each and are considered classics of their genre. In addition to Sylvian and Czukay, the two Can musicians Jaki Liebezeit (on both albums) and Michael Karoli as well as Marcus Stockhausen, trumpeter and son of the famous composer Karl-Heinz Stockhausen, were also involved in the recordings (the latter only in ” Flux & Mutability”). The re-release in Greenland will be released in chic double formats with new liner notes by renowned British journalist David Topp. Both albums are NOT part of the recently released Holger Czukay Retrospective ” Cinema” and have not been available in Japan and UK since their original release on Venture/Virgin Records and limited reissues in the early 1990s.
