Probably Soundgarden’s finest hour, Superunknown sent the Seattle group soaring into the stratosphere. ‘Spoonman’, ‘Fell On Black Days’ and ‘Black Hole Sun’ all serve as a reminder of grunge’s brief but undeniable dominance, before it all came crashing down. Still, some of the deeper cuts on here, namely ‘4th Of July’ and ‘Fresh Tendrils’ are undoubtedly some of Soundgarden’s greatest ever material.
